Art Tea Party II: Public Art, Saturday November 5 with Amanda Horn, Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Professor Robert Tracy, UNLV, and Ed Fuentes, Paint This Desert, share tea time in this informal exchange of ideas about what makes monumental public art, and the documents that keep them in front of the public eye.

Join Nevada Museum of Art Center for Art + Environment Director Bill Fox and internationally-revered Land Art photographer Gianfranco Gorgoni  in conversation about Land Art and Ugo Rondinone's Seven Magic Mountain. Lucy Raven, China Town, Saturday Film Screenings at the Marjorie Barrick Museum Auditorium.The animation is on loan from the Center for Art + Environment at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno.Through January 14, 2017, every Saturday at 1 and 3 PM. 

In Transition: Female Figurines from the Michael C. and Mannetta Braunstein Collection. This exhibition focuses on the female figurine, specifically those forms depicting the transition from maidenhood to motherhood. At the Marjorie Barrick Museum. 

Town and Country: From Degas to Picasso, at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, through February 20, 2017.

Las Vegas News

Wayne Littlejohn's (Las Vegas) twenty-six foot tall, spiraling public sculpture Dream Machine. Littlejohn was selected in July 2015 to create the work for Siegfried & Roy Park, located near the cross streets of Russell Road and Maryland Parkway at 5590 Wilbur St. The Clark County Public Art sculpture will be dedicated after the park's construction is completed in December.
